ShortPulse Refund Policy

Last updated: June 21, 2026

Publication status: publication candidate pending final legal entity, contact, Stripe portal configuration, launch jurisdictions, and counsel review.

This Refund Policy explains how ShortPulse handles refunds, credits, subscriptions, credit packs, storage add-ons, generation charges, and billing disputes.

"ShortPulse," "we," "us," and "our" mean [LEGAL ENTITY NAME].

This Refund Policy is part of our Terms of Service. If this Refund Policy conflicts with a non-waivable consumer-protection law that applies to you, that law controls.

1. Summary

ShortPulse sells access to digital creative tools, AI generation workflows, recurring subscriptions, usage credits, storage add-ons, and related services.

Unless this Refund Policy says otherwise, payments are non-refundable once charged, credits are not redeemable for cash, and unused subscription time, unused credits, unused storage, or dissatisfaction with generated results does not automatically qualify for a refund.

We may approve refunds, account credits, service credits, credit restorations, or other adjustments at our discretion, where required by law, or where this policy says a refund or adjustment is available.

If we approve a refund or charge reversal, we may revoke or reduce related credits, subscription access, storage access, promotional benefits, invoice credits, or generated-service entitlements to prevent double recovery.

2. Subscriptions

ShortPulse subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.

You can cancel through the account billing controls, Stripe Billing Portal, or another cancellation path we make available. Canceling stops future subscription renewals according to the active billing configuration. It does not automatically refund past payments, current-period payments, one-time credit packs, storage add-ons, taxes, or already-used credits.

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable for the current billing period after payment is processed. If you cancel during a billing period, you may keep subscription access through the end of the paid period unless the active Stripe configuration, product flow, legal requirement, or account status provides otherwise.

If you upgrade a subscription, the change may take effect immediately and may create prorated charges. If you downgrade, the change may take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds, prorations, or invoice credits for plan changes depend on the active Stripe configuration, applicable law, and any discretionary adjustment we approve.

If ShortPulse materially discontinues a paid subscription service before the end of a prepaid period, we may provide a prorated refund, account credit, service credit, or other remedy where required by law or appropriate under the circumstances.

3. Credit Packs And Usage Credits

Credits are used for AI generation and related billable actions in ShortPulse. Paid subscriptions may include recurring credits. Credit packs are one-time top-ups.

Credits do not represent cash, stored value, gift cards, banked money, cryptocurrency, or a deposit account. Credits are not redeemable for cash, are not transferable except where we expressly allow it, and may be used only within ShortPulse.

Credit-pack purchases are generally final and non-refundable once credits are delivered to your account, except where required by law or where we approve an adjustment under this policy.

If we approve a refund for a credit pack, we may remove unused credits from that purchase. Used credits are generally not refundable.

ShortPulse profile copy currently states that credits never expire. This means ShortPulse does not currently intend to expire valid unused credits only because time passes. It does not mean credits can be redeemed for cash, transferred outside ShortPulse, used after account termination for breach, or preserved where law, fraud prevention, chargebacks, payment failure, account deletion, or security requirements require another result.

4. Generation Failures And Credit Adjustments

ShortPulse uses credit reservations and captures for generation workflows.

If a generation fails before producing usable output because of a provider error, system error, content-policy failure, malformed provider response, or similar failed state recognized by ShortPulse's server-side billing rules, ShortPulse may release the reserved credits so you are not charged credits for that failed attempt.

If credits were captured for a generation that failed according to ShortPulse's own records, we may restore credits after review.

The following usually do not qualify for a cash refund or credit restoration:

  • you dislike the creative result, quality, style, realism, composition, audio, video, image, prompt interpretation, or model behavior;
  • another user or model can generate a similar or identical result;
  • an output is unsuitable for your intended platform, campaign, audience, client, or commercial use;
  • you provided the wrong prompt, file, reference, settings, account, billing interval, or workflow;
  • you cleared, abandoned, deleted, or removed an in-flight generation placeholder in a product flow that treats the action as a no-refund abandonment;
  • provider safety systems, model limits, rate limits, or policy rules affect the result but ShortPulse's billing rules treat the request as completed;
  • provider outages, delays, queue times, or rate limits temporarily affect availability but do not result in a failed charged generation under ShortPulse's billing records;
  • credits, outputs, or subscription benefits from the purchase have already been used or consumed.

5. Storage Add-Ons

ShortPulse may offer recurring storage add-ons.

Storage add-on fees are generally non-refundable once charged. Removing a storage add-on stops or changes future storage add-on billing according to the active Stripe configuration. It does not automatically refund the current billing period.

If your stored content exceeds your remaining storage limit after removing an add-on or downgrading a plan, ShortPulse may block new uploads or certain storage actions until you reduce usage or add more storage.

6. Refunds We May Consider

We may consider a refund, account credit, service credit, or credit restoration when:

  • you were charged twice for the same purchase because of a billing error;
  • a payment was unauthorized and promptly reported;
  • a Stripe or ShortPulse checkout error charged you without delivering the purchased subscription access, storage add-on, or credits;
  • ShortPulse records show credits were captured for a failed generation that should have released credits under our billing rules;
  • we are required to provide a refund by applicable law;
  • ShortPulse approves a customer-support exception in writing.

We may deny refund requests involving used credits, completed generation attempts, ordinary dissatisfaction with outputs, abandoned generation flows, account misuse, Terms violations, chargebacks, fraud, abuse, or requests made too late for us to reasonably investigate.

If a purchase included both used and unused credits, access, storage, or benefits, any approved adjustment may be partial.

7. How To Request A Refund Or Billing Review

To request a refund, credit restoration, or billing review, contact [BILLING/SUPPORT EMAIL].

Include:

  • the email address on your ShortPulse account;
  • the Stripe invoice, receipt, checkout, or transaction ID if available;
  • the plan, credit pack, storage add-on, or generation event at issue;
  • the date and amount of the charge;
  • a brief explanation of the problem;
  • any screenshots or supporting details that help us investigate.

Do not send full payment-card numbers, bank-account numbers, passwords, or sensitive identity documents through ordinary support channels.

You should contact us promptly after discovering the issue. Refund and billing review requests should be submitted within 14 days after the charge or event at issue, unless applicable law gives you a longer period or the issue could not reasonably have been discovered within that period.

We may need to verify your identity, account ownership, billing records, generation records, Stripe records, provider status, and product logs before making a decision.

8. Chargebacks And Payment Disputes

If you dispute a charge with your payment provider instead of contacting us, we may suspend account access, pause credits, restrict generation, or preserve records while the dispute is reviewed.

Chargebacks, payment failures, fraud indicators, or repeated billing disputes may result in account restrictions, loss of promotional pricing, reversal of credits, or termination where permitted by law and our Terms.

9. Taxes, Fees, Currency, And Payment Processor Rules

Refunds may exclude taxes, processor fees, currency-conversion differences, bank fees, card-network fees, or other amounts that ShortPulse cannot recover, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Approved refunds are usually sent back to the original payment method through Stripe or the payment processor. Processing times depend on Stripe, payment networks, banks, and your payment method.

10. Annual Plans, Promotions, Coupons, Grandfathered Plans, And Manual Adjustments

Annual plans, promotions, coupons, discounted plans, grandfathered pricing, internal credits, account credits, manual adjustments, manual invoices, enterprise arrangements, pre-launch invites, or complimentary credits may have special terms. Unless we say otherwise in writing, promotional or complimentary credits have no cash value and are not refundable.

If you cancel and later restart, change plans, or lose eligibility for a grandfathered plan, you may not be able to return to the old price or terms.

11. Account Suspension, Termination, Or Deletion

If your account is suspended or terminated for violating our Terms, provider rules, safety rules, payment rules, or law, you may lose access to subscriptions, credits, storage, media, outputs, or account features without a refund, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

If you delete your account or request deletion of account data, we may not be able to restore credits, media, outputs, invoices, or generation records after deletion, except where retained records are legally or operationally required.

12. Consumer-Law Exceptions

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection, automatic-renewal, cancellation, cooling-off, digital-goods, payment, or refund laws.

If you live in a jurisdiction with mandatory refund, cancellation, withdrawal, or subscription-renewal rights, those rights apply even if this policy would otherwise say a payment is non-refundable.

13. Changes To This Refund Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice in a reasonable way, such as posting the updated policy, updating the date, sending an email, or showing an in-product notice.

14. Contact

Refund and billing questions should be sent to [BILLING/SUPPORT EMAIL].
